Crunchyroll announced on Saturday that it is launching a "Crunchyroll Anime Nights" program dedicated to screening anime across the U.S. each month. The works will include anime films, "curated television episodes," as well as previews of upcoming streaming series. Screenings will also include classic titles and anniversary titles. The screenings will happen on the third Monday of every month.

The works will screen in more than 225 theaters in the U.S. including at chains such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark Theatres, Harkins Theatres, and Landmark Cinemas.

The lineup for October through December includes:

The screening of Overlord will feature the first seven episodes of the first season.

The screening in December will feature "an exclusive first look" at some anime series before they launch on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll had previously announced in June it has acquired the theatrical rights worldwide (excluding Asia) for the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryū) anime film.

The film opened on June 27 in 199 theaters in Japan. Tatsuya Ishihara (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S; Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!) directed the film.
