Seven Seas Licenses Laughter in the Sunshine Boys' Love Manga

(July 30, 2025) — Seven Seas Entertainment is pleased to announce the license acquisition of the Boys Love manga Laughter in the Sunshine by FUUKI MARU. A sweet Boys' Love romance about two young men, a smuggled cat, and the month they spend together.

Taiyo Kiriyama knew he wasn't allowed to have pets in his apartment. But when he comes across an abandoned cat, he can't help but try to smuggle the sweet creature in! Unfortunately, he's immediately caught by the building manager, Asahi Taira. After Taiyo begs, Asahi agrees to let him keep the cat for a month while he finds it a home—but in exchange, Taiyo will have to become Asahi's errand boy.

It's not an easy gig, but after getting to know Asahi, Taiyo finds that the other man has a hidden charm and begins to enjoy the time they spend together. While Taiyo's feelings for Asahi begin to grow, he soon learns that Asahi is in love with someone already. Can he help Asahi find his happiness and love, or will Taiyo's own emotions get in the way?

Laughter in the Sunshine will be released in May 2026 for $15.99 USA / $20.99 CAN, with the manga available in a single large-trim edition as part of the Seven Seas BL Label (Boys' Love titles). An ebook edition will also be available on digital platforms.
