Mamoru Hosoda's Summer Wars film aired on NTV on Friday, August 1 at 9:00 p.m. and earned a 7.4% rating.
Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora-tachi no Kyōryū Nikki, the 2024 film for the Shin-chan franchise, aired on TV Asahi on Sunday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. and earned a 2.0% rating.
The 2017 live-action film adaptation of Yayoiso's ReLIFE manga aired on TV Tokyo on Saturday, August 2 at 2:45 a.m. and earned a 0.3% rating.
An episode of Anpan, the newest entry in NHK's six-decade-long Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (Serialized TV Novel, also known as "Asadora" or Morning Drama) franchise, aired on Friday, August 1 at 8:00 a.m. and earned a 17.4% rating. A separate episode aired on Monday, July 28 at 12:45 p.m. and earned 6.1% rating.
The new live-action weekday morning series is inspired by the life story of Anpanman manga creator Takashi Yanase and his wife Nobuo Komatsu.
