Japanese indie game developer Chilla's Art announced on Friday that its The Convenience Store (Yakin Jiken) game is inspiring a live-action film that will open in Japan in 2026. Jirō Nagae (live-action Tomodachi Game, Liar! Uncover the Truth) is directing the film, and Canter is distributing.
The original game puts the player in the shoes of a college girl working part-time at a convenience store as supernatural events happen.
Chilla's Art released the game in February 2020. The game is available on PC via Steam in Japanese, English, and Korean.
