Ultraman 4K Discovery Project Reveals English Dub Cast for Blu-ray Disc Release

Tsuburaya Productions announced on Wednesday the English dub cast for Ultraman 4K Discovery, the 4K restoration of the original 1966 Ultraman series that selectively curates episodes into four thematic movies.

The dub stars:

• Jason Douglas as Toshio Muramatsu, captain of the SSSP (Science Special Search Party) Japan Branch
• Aaron Dismuke as Shin Hayata, human host of Ultraman
• Larry Brantley as Daisuke Arashi, SSSP's sharpshooter
• Frank Todaro as Mitsuhiro Ide, SSSP's genius inventor
• Katelyn Barr as Akiko Fuji, SSSP's communication operator
• Sonny Strait as Ultraman
• Charles Martinet as the Theater Manager and narrator

Christopher R. Sabat's OkraTron 5000 studio is recording the English dub.

Tsuburaya Productions will release Ultraman 4K Discovery on Blu-ray Disc by Alliance Entertainment on November 18.

The U.S. premiere screened at Los Angeles Comic Con in September. The project premiered with its first movie at the Tsubaraya Film Festival in December 2023. Subsequent movies screened at the 2024 event in October 2024.

The original 39-episode Ultraman series debuted in Japan in 1966.
