K-pop girl group ILLIT's original webtoon Summer Moon: The Quprids is expanding beyond Korea to six global regions, including the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and France.

According to HYBE, localized versions of SUMMER MOON debuted on WEBTOON's global platforms. The series launched on October 20 in the U.S., Taiwan, and Thailand; and on October 21 in Japan and Indonesia. The series will launch in France later in November.

Summer Moon: The Quprids is a coming-of-age school fantasy series that follows five ordinary high school girls — Yeoreum, Miso, Ah-yeong, Gayoon, and Unha — who unexpectedly transform into “magical girls” ahead of their school's largest summer festival. The story starts as a lighthearted teen romance and will gradually evolve as the girls face emotional challenges and magical threats, ultimately learning that "true magic lies in embracing one's authentic self."

First released in Korea on August 4, the webtoon quickly rose to No. 2 in the female category and No. 3 overall on Naver WEBTOON's Top 30 Rising Series chart. It also placed No. 4 in the female category and No. 5 overall on the Real-Time New Series Ranking.

Fans can read the official English version here.

The five-member group ILLIT formed through the survival show R U Next? in 2023. The group released their debut album SUPER REAL ME in March 2024.
