Looking at my manga purchases from 2020 Yen Press was one of the top 2 I bought from. The other being Seven Seas. Had a few from Ghost Ship coming in at third. I imagine with people obviously having to spend more time at home there was an even bigger market for reading material.

Can't wait for everyone to finally get some reprints in, so many Yen series are going out of print right now (everyone is clamoring for more Higurashi)

Agreed. I was browsing the current Yen Press sale on RightStuf and was surprised at some of the relatively recent series that already had out-of-print volumes.

As great the news this concerns me that with profits like this, Kadokawa may simply buy out Yen press and assimilate it into the parent company, similar to what happened to vertical with Kodansha's recent restructuring.

I would only be okay with that if Kadokawa would continue to allow other English publishers to license Kadokawa properties. Kado stuff as it is are already being bottlenecked as supposedly Yen gets priority licensing, but if they opt out of something, it seems to take forever if ever for it get licensed by the other English pubs. Making Yen the exclusive publisher for Kado would be detrimental as they can only license so much.

Maybe Yen Press could start selling to Australia again instead of being a whiny brat, that would be nice.
