Why does this look far more intriguing than the TV series itself? Crying or Very sad

Is this going to be a visual novel or an actual game, I wonder.

why does it seem like it, will still not make any sense, in terms of it's internal logic, and abilities of the protagonist/his friends.

Its going to be both, since VNs are video games.

Digital choose-your-own-adventure comics aren't games.
Unless there's an element of challenge or exploration, I don't think the moniker "adventure game" is very well deserved.

Visual Novels are on video game sales charts, and are covered by video game websites. Visual novel companies are also considered video game companies by stock listings.

You might not like those types of video games, but they are still video games.

Where'd you get the implication I don't like them from?

There's just nothing game-like about the majority of them.
Utawarerumono's a game, while choice-only stuff like Fate/Stay Night, Saya no Uta and the choiceless * no naku koro ni novels are not games. That's how I see and tell it.

Video game companies produce plenty of non-game products, for that matter.
