It is the 23rd century, and the human race inhabits the moon. The final outpost of humanity, the Lunar Republic Of Eden, if rigidly managed by the Guidance Council, an intricately functioning body which assures its citizenry tranquil lives of peace and security. Nobody questions the all knowing council, not even the 15 year old Takeru, but things may chance when he begins to feel obtuse but undeniable doubt about the freedom commonly enjoyed by residents of Eden. Frustrated by the constructions of society. He vents by racing LTVS - lunar terrain vehicles with his buddies. However, a photograph which Takeru discovers on a community service outing on the moon surface threatens to turn his world inside out. The photograph shows a girl living on Earth, a place which supposedly was rendered barren after the colossal Freeport fell to the surface and triggered the great calamity one hundred years before. Takeru, his heart stolen by the girl in the photograph, recruits his friend Kazuma to ride with him in an outmoded lunar maintenance LTV into the restricted other side of the moon surface where the earth can be viewed. The barren surface of the moon seems endless, but finally they cross the edge of a giant crater, and a stunning sight comes into view. One look at the brilliant, blue Earth suspended in the blackness of outer space and everything they were taught about the dead motherworld is turned on its head. Furthermore, the crater is cluttered with photographs, including one with a message written on its back: -Earth is well- Takeru, now aware of Eden's obfuscation of the truth, outruns the Guidance Council's pursuers, and seeks out old man Alan. Takeru decides to escape from Eden with Alan's help, driven by the earth girl's ambiguous message, -see you soon,- when Takeru is attacked by multi-legged robots sent the Eden Guidance Council to disrupt his plans, he finds unexpected allies in Taira and his moonshiners. How will Takeru's adventures change his friends, Eden, and the destiny of the human race itself? Witness the climax to takeru's misadventures in Eden in the conclusion to the first half of this grand tale of freedom!
