In the tradition of YU-GI-OH, the action-packed anime series DUEL MASTERS follows the adventures of a group of kids who play a mystical card game that magically brings its battling creatures to life. As the son of a famous dueling master, teenager Shobu Kirifuda is the best of the current crop of players and even has the potential to be the game's greatest fighter. Based on an actual Japanese card game, the series chronicles Shobu's quest to become a champion duelist while fighting off a formidable array of opponents in an animated style created by top artists and game designers. In the episodes "Atta Boy, George" and "Break on Through to the Other Side," Shobu decides he must make a pilgrimage to his father's holy site in order to prepare for the annual Duel Masters Battle Arena.
