A look at the crowds, goods, and a giant dragon

Bandai Namco Games held the Tales of Festival 2014 event at the Yokohama Arena this past weekend. The event hosted over ten thousand people at the venue on each of the days.

Visitors were greeted with a giant statue recreating the dragon from the upcoming Tales of Zestiria game.

The entire front hall was flooded with the strong fragrance that came from the many, many congratulatory bouquets from companies and fans.

The official key visual for the event sat near the entrance.

Cardboard cutouts of every character which had their voice actor/actress attending the event. In addition, the hall had the cardboard cutouts for the characters of the upcoming Tales of Zestiria.

A few fan drawings and messages from Niconico Chokaigi were displayed.

A look at the crowd on the first day. Before the performances began, all the openings from the Mothership titles played on the big screen above the stage. Fans (mostly girls) screamed at the appearance of their favorite characters. Some of the most popular characters were Tales of Symphonia's Zelos and Kratos, Tales of the Abyss's Luke, Asche, Guy, and Jade, Tales of Rebirth's Veigue and Salle, and Tales of Vesperia's Raven.

Some of the special mentions for fan shout-outs include Tales of Rebirth's Claire, as everyone in the stadium screamed her name when she appeared on screen (a joke to protagonist Veigue constantly yelling out her name in the game). Fans also had a reaction to Tales of Destiny 2's Barbatos, although that reaction was one of great laughter.

Here are the fan rankings for favorite characters, duos, and more.
