Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Dress Up As Tanuki For Cute Keychains

posted on by Chris Nishijima
You too can have tanuki appearing in every panel of your life!

As any fan of the series Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun knows Nozaki's former editor Maeno can be rather frustrating. From his carefree self-centered attitude to his casual disregard for his authors' work, he always seems to exist in a world of his own. Still, while he has a tendency to force its appearance in just about every panel of his current author's work, there's no denying that the tanuki that he is ever so fond of are rather adorable, and it seems that the entire cast of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun have all dressed up in their best tanuki costumes for this new line of keychains.

Anime goods company MOVIC will be releasing these keychains with a total of 10 different characters in all. The lineup includes everyone's favorite characters from the series, each showing off their own unique tanuki style. While the appearance of the titular Nozaki and heroine Chiyo are to be expected, the set even includes characters who appear with less frequency like Ken-san and Wakamatsu. Of course, where the tanuki are, you will find Maeno, and the set doesn't forget him either.

The keychains are currently available for preorder via the MOVIC webstore right now, and will be officially released on November 13. While only the complete set for 5000 Yen Plus tax (about US $45.73) is available on the website, in stores they can be bought for 500 yen a piece (about US $4.57). Still, since the contents of each pack is determined by the luck of the draw, you might want to be careful. Maeno loves the tanuki so much that you might end up getting nothing but Maeno keychains!
