Stuffed Unico Plushies Are Bringing Magic to Arcades

Osamu Tezuka's classic character is reappearing in arcades as an adorable plush toy. He's only available in 16 amusement facilities throughout Japan, but his rarity is just all the more reason to seek him out.
The larger plush toy measures 18cm (7in) high and comes in three different facial expressions and poses. Later this month, four Unico keychain plushies will debut, adding two more expressions to choose from.
The prize campaign will continue into spring with third and fourth waves of yet unrevealed Unico merchandise.
The story of Unico centers on a unicorn who has a power to help those who love him. The titular character travels through time and to different countries to make new friends. Digital Manga Publishing's original English manga release was funded via Kickstarter in 2012, followed by a second successful reprint campaign. Discotek released two of the anime films on home video in North America.
