Hetalia Musical Star Yūki Yamaoki Announces Marriage, 1st Child

26-year-old actor Yūki Yamaoki, known to fans as "Okki," announced both his marriage and the birth of his first child on his blog on Wednesday. The actor, known for his roles in the Hetalia and Prince of Tennis musicals had dated his wife for the last eight years before the couple tied the knot. They welcomed their son on July 20, the day before Yamaoki's first performance in the Hetalia musical's run in Tokyo.
Yamaoki shared that he's wanted to get married since he was a small child and as he got older, it became more important to him to build a family full of smiles like the one his parents provided for him. He asked his fans to continue to watch over and support him.
Actors Ryoki Nagae (Hetalia musical's Italy), Keisuke Ueda (Hetalia musical's Japan), Yūsuke Ueda (Prince of Tennis 2nd Season musical), Katsutoshi Uchibori, Kazuma Muroi, Momoko Nakamura, Hidemitsu Miyamoto, Kotaro Ito, and Mika Kanai all wished him well on Twitter.
Yamaoki first played Renji Yanagi in The Prince of Tennis musical from 2009 to 2010. He signed on as Russia in the "Hetalia Singin' in the World" musical in 2015 and reprised the role in this year's "Hetalia ~in the new world~" musical that opened last month.
