World's 'Meanest' Girlfriend Stars in Otoboke Beavers' Music Video

Kyoto-based punk rock group Otoboke Beavers' latest music video stars one of the world's meanest animated girlfriends. The subject is fitting, given that the 19-second song is titled "Ikezu" ("Mean"). The video opens with a girl waking up in the morning and turning to the camera with a smile before repeatedly punching her boyfriend in the face.
The animation is directed by Mr. Osomatsu character designer Naoyuki Asano. The track is included on the group's EP Love is Short!! which is available outside of Japan via Damnably.
The punk quartet formed in 2009 and took their name from a local love hotel. They've since performed with Shōnen Knife and Guitar Wolf.
