posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
South Korean pop group TWICE debuts in anime form on Friday in the new music video for "Candy Pop," the group's second single. Love Live! and Land of the Lustrous director Takahiko Kyōgoku produced the video in collaboration with South Korean video creators, and Park Jin-young, the founder of TWICE's JYP Entertainment label, wrote the story for the video.
In the video, TWICE first appears in animated form inside a television program a girl is watching, and later transform into their real-life versions as they embark on a journey to perform for the girl. The video also has hidden characters illustrated by TWICE member Chaeyoung.
The "Candy Pop" single released digitally on Friday, and is slated for physical release on February 7.
