Yōchien Kids' Magazine Bundles Entire Gacha Machine

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Kids' manga magazines sometimes come with bonuses, usually some type of foldable cardstock goodie. Shueisha's Ribon magazine built a reputation on its fun bonus items and even released a book detailing its history. Nakayoshi has included items like its Manga Creator sets that are so popular, the magazine has sold out.

This year's October issue of Shogakukan's Yōchien (Kindergarten) magazine is gaining attention for its choice to include a gacha machine. The large papercraft machine mimics the blind-buy item machines popular with collectors. Gacha machines can hold all kinds of pocket-size items and this Kamen Rider toy version is mostly functional. The magazine has sold out online and buyers are sharing their completed crafts on social media. Assembly is supposed to be rather difficult given that it's included with a children's magazine.

Yōchien includes the materials to build the gacha machine, eight capsules, and eight Kamen Rider watch types to put inside the capsules.
