United Arab Emirates-based game developer Red Dunes Games announced on Monday that it is entering into a multi-year collaboration with Japanese developer Acquire to develop original works.

The companies have so far teased three new game projects codenamed "Project Tremor," "Project Umbra," and "Project Shadowcar." All three projects are slated for global multilingual releases on PC and "major" game consoles, with reveals planned for events such as Tokyo Game Show. Each project will be in three distinct genres, featuring "city-shaking kaiju battles, to dark fantasy hunts, to a shadowy espionage thriller."

ACQUIRE Corp. was founded in 1994. GungHo Entertainment made the company into a subsidiary in 2011. The developer is best known for creating the Tenchu, Samuraidō (Way of the Samurai), Shinobido, Octopath Traveler, and Akiba's Trip game franchises. It also distributed the Class of Heroes role-playing games.

The company's recent games include the Ancient Weapon Holly and Hookah Haze games with Aniplex, as well as Mario & Luigi: Brothership with Nintendo. Kadokawa acquired the studio as a wholly owned subsidiary in February 2024.
