Gurren Lagann Staffers Stream Kill la Kill's 1st Ad

The official website for Hiroyuki Imaishi and Trigger's battle action anime Kill la Kill began streaming the first television commercial (after February's teaser) in 30- and 15-second lengths on Saturday. The commercial first ran during Saturday's rerun of the Gurren Lagann anime.
As the commercial advertises, Trigger's first original television anime reunites Imaishi (Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) with head writer Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Nodame Cantabile: Finale, Re: Cutie Honey). In addition, acclaimed animator Sushio (animation director on Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, character designer on Engage Planet Kiss Dum) is designing the characters.
The story is set on a high school that the student council president Satsuki Kiryūin rules by force. Ryūko Matoi, a transfer student wielding a giant Basami scissors sword, brings about upheaval on the campus.
