Hidamari Sketch's Hiro, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's Mikuru: "I'm back!"

The staff of the talent agency Accel One reported on Wednesday that voice actress Yuko Goto (Hiro in Hidamari Sketch, Mikuru Asahina in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) has returned to the studio to record a Hidamari Sketch drama CD that will be included with the Hidamari Sketch: Sae/Hiro Sotsugyō-hen anime. Goto appeared alongside Ryoko Shintani (Hidamari Sketch's Sae) and wrote a message for her fans, saying, “I'm back!”

Goto went on hiatus from her agency last year due to her health, and she revealed later that her ailment is an autoimmune disease.

Goto anounced in August of 2012 that she would leave the hospital. According to her doctor, Goto had completely moved past the imminent threat, although she intended to take things slow. In the meantime, voice actress Natsuko Kuwatani (The Future Diary, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) took over Goto's role of F. Walsingham in the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II anime.
