Voice Actress Yuko Goto Expects to Leave Hospital in August
posted on by Egan Loo
Voice actress Yuko Goto (Hiro in Hidamari Sketch, Mikuru Asahina in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) revealed on Thursday that she expects to be discharged from the hospital in early August, if all goes well. According to her doctor, Goto has completely moved past the imminent threat, although she intends to take things slow.
Goto went on hiatus from her agency in May due to her health, and she revealed later that month that the ailment that led to her hospitalization is an autoimmune disease. She added at the time that her hospital stay will be at least two and a half months.
The staff for the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II television anime announced in June that voice actress Natsuko Kuwatani (The Future Diary, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) is replacing Goto as F. Walsingham in the series. The series will premiere on July 7.
