posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Video game developer Gust began streaming the opening movie for its upcoming Atelier Shallie: Tasogare no Umi no Renkinjutsushi (Atelier Shallie: The Alchemist of the Dusk Sea) PlayStation 3 game on Wednesday.
The game serves as the final chapter in the "Dusk" trilogy, and takes place in a world where the waterbeds are drying up and plant life is dying. Two young alchemists meet in an oasis. Players will be able to play as one of two heroines: Shallie (voiced by Kotori Koiwai) or Shallotte (Sumire Uesaka).
The game is slated to ship for PlayStation 3 in Japan on July 17 after being delayed from June 26. The regular edition will retail for 6,800 yen (US$66), the downloadable version for 6,000 yen (US$58), a premium box edition with four music CDs and one drama CD for 9,800 yen (US$95), and a 20-year memorial box with the CDs, a character film set, and a visual collection for 12,800 yen (US$126).
