Shūta Morishima Joins Super Radical Gag Family Sequel Anime's Cast

This year's 31st issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine is announcing on July third that Shūta Morishima (Cardfight!! Vanguard, Sparrow's Hotel) will join the cast of the anime adaptation of Kenji Hamaoka's comedy manga Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku. Morishima will play the role of Hanamaruki, the boyfriend of Sakura Ōsawagi.

The rest of the cast includes:
- Suzuko Mimori (Love Live! School idol project's Umi) as Kotetsu Ōsawagi
- Kazuya Ichijou (Outbreak Company's Prime Minister Zahaal) as Daitetsu Ōsawagi
- Kanako Toujô (From the New World's Satoru Asahina) as Junko Ōsawagi
- Izumi Kitta (Watamote's Tomoko) as Sakura Ōsawagi
Akitaro Daichi (Fruits Basket, Kodocha, Now and Then, Here and There) will direct the the series at Studio Deen. Daichi previously directed the 1998 series.
The slapstick gag comedy follows a second-grade boy named Kotetsu Ōsawagi and his misadventures with his family and friends in Urayasu City, near Tokyo.
Hamaoka launched the original Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku (Super Radical Gag Family) manga in Weekly Shōnen Champion in 1993. The 31-volume manga spawned two sequels: the 28-volume Ganso! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku from 2002 to 2010, and the current Maido! Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku which began in 2010.
The anime will premiere on July 6.
