4th novel volume to cover story of anime's as-yet unaired 11th, 12th episodes

StoryWorks writer Yūichi Kadota posted on Twitter on Thursday that the fourth novel volume of late author Tomohiro Matsu and artist Kantoku's Märchen Mädchen light novel series will be the series' climax. Kadota said the contents of the novel correspond to episodes 11 and 12 of the anime. The novel will ship on April 25. A limited-edition version of the novel volume will come with a serial code to download an audio drama with an all-new story.

Additionally, manga creator Kiyotsugu Yamagata also announced on April 3 that the Märchen Mädchen manga adaptation of the light novel series is also headed toward its climax.

The light novel series is based on a concept that Matsu (Mayoi Neko Overrun!, Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!) had worked on for three years and completed before he passed away. The work is still credited to him, with assistance by StoryWorks. Kantoku (Garakowa -Restore the World-, Imōto Sae Ireba Ii., One Room) is illustrating the novels. Shueisha published the third novel under its Dash X Bunko imprint on December 22.

Takatoshi Nakamura (Densetsu no Yūsha no Konkatsu) and newcomer artist Yamagata are collaborating on the manga adaptation. The manga launched in the November issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ magazine on October 4. Shueisha published the manga's first compiled volume on January 4.

The novels' anime adaptation premiered on January 11, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. The anime's ninth and 10th episodes were delayed to March 22 and March 29, respectively, in order to improve the animation quality. The anime's official website stated last month that it will announce what will happen with the 11th and 12th episodes as soon as it is decided.
