Love Live! Sunshine!! Film's Title, January 4, 2019 Opening Revealed

4th concert run slated for Tokyo Dome on November 17-18 with August 1 theme song CD

The Saturday concert of "Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 3rd Love Live! Tour ~Wonderful Stories~" announced at Saitama the title and opening date of the Love Live! Sunshine!! film. Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow will open on January 4, 2019. (The visual for the third concert tour appears at right.)

Saturday's concert also announced that the "Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 4th Love Live! ~Sailing to the Sunshine~" concerts will be held on November 17 and November 18 at the Tokyo Dome. The accompanying "Thank you, Friends!!" theme song CD will go on sale on August 1. Both the theme song CD and the special limited edition of the second television anime season's seventh Blu-ray Disc volume (shipping on June 22) will include an advance entry form for tickets to the November 18 concert.

Aqours' fourth single will ship in 2019 with an animated music video. The two television anime seasons will run again on 12 stations and channels throughout Japan starting on July 1.

The upcomng film will be an all-new work (as opposed to a compilation or recap film).

The Love Live! Sunshine!! project was first announced in February 2015. The project's three key phrases are "Reader Participation," "Inspired by μ's," and "Seaside Town Setting." The group's name Aqours was chosen by fans by popular vote.

The first Love Live! Sunshine!! anime premiered in July 2016. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki streamed the series outside of Japan. The second season of Love Live! Sunshine!! ran from October to December last year. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation began streaming an English dub for the series on October 23.
