DISH// band member Masaki Yabe also stars in November performances

Mizuho Kusanagi's Yona of the Dawn (Akatsuki no Yona) manga is inspiring a new stage play titled Akatsuki no Yona ~Hiiro no Shukimei-hen~ (Yona of the Dawn: Scarlet Destiny Chapter). The play will run in Tokyo's EX Theater Roppongi from November 15-25.

Former Nogizaka46 member Rina Ikoma (first picture below) is starring in the play as Yona and DISH// band member Masaki Yabe (second image below) is playing Hak. Yūsuke Hayakawa is writing the script and Makoto Ōzeki is directing.

An earlier stage play ran in March 2016. Risa Niigaki and Yūya Matsushita starred as Yona and Hak, respectively.

Kusanagi — the creator of Mugen Spiral, Game X Rush, and NG Life — launched the Yona of the Dawn manga in 2009. The 27th compiled volume will ship on August 20.

Viz Media licensed the manga, and it shipped the 12th volume in North America on June 5.

The series has also inspired a 24-episode anime and original anime DVDs.
