Shōmetsu Toshi Anime Reveals More Cast, 4th Teaser Visual

Ayaka Asai, Tomoyo Kurosawa join cast for series premiering in 2019

The official website for the television anime of Wright Flyer Studios' Shōmetsu Toshi (Annihilated City — Where I End and You Begin) smartphone game revealed a fourth visual on Friday.

The site has also revealed that Ayaka Asai will play Sōma and Tomoyo Kurosawa will play Ryōko.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and other channels in 2019.

Shigeyuki Miya (Blood Lad, Onihei) is directing the anime, and Shingo Irie (Kuroko's Basketball, Sakura Quest) is in charge of the series scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya (Bakuman., Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is designing the characters. Satoshi Motoyama is directing the sound, and Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Eden of the East, Patlabor) is composing the music. Madhouse is producing the series, and Pony Canyon is producing the music.

In the anime's story, one day a town is annihilated. Yuki is a young woman who is said to be the only person left alive from the town after the annihilation, and Takuya is a loner and a smuggler. Together, with the letter left by Yuki's father, they go toward the town, now called Lost, but unexpected obstacles stand in their path. The thoughts of those left behind, secret and mysterious organizations, and hidden conspiracies await Yuki and Takuya as they move closer toward the mystery behind Lost.

The previously revealed cast members include:

Wright Flyer Studios and GREE launched the game in Japan in May 2014, and the game has more than 9 million downloads worldwide. An update titled Shōmetsu Toshi 2 launched in November 2016. The game is getting a new app titled Shōmetsu Toshi Drama RPG MIX, as well as a completely new 3D work using Unreal Engine4.
