Game launches in N. America, Europe on November 8

Nintendo announced on Monday that Level 5 will release its Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy - Deluxe Edition (Layton Mystery Journey Katrielle to Daifugō no Inbō DX) Nintendo Switch game on November 8 in North America and Europe.

The game is an enhanced version of the Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire's Journey game, which launched in Japan for Nintendo 3DS and worldwide for iOS and Android devices in July 2017. The game then launched for Nintendo 3DS in the West in October 2017. The new version includes 40 new puzzles, improved interface layouts, graphics, all the DLC for the original game, as well as 50 new outfits.

The new version launched for Nintendo Switch in Japan last August. The German USK game rating board listed the game with a rating in January.

In the game, Katrielle "Kat" Layton is the daughter of Professor Hershel Layton. The story is set in London, where she solves any incident, from missing cats to murder cases. Her initial purpose, however, was to look for her father, who has disappeared. The game was originally titled Lady Layton: Fugō-ō Ariadne no Inbō (Lady Layton: Millionaire King Ariadne's Conspiracy).

The original game inspired the Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File television anime, which premiered in April 2018 and ended on March 31. Like the game, the anime is set in London and follows Katrielle as she solves mysteries with her talking dog Sherl.
