Natsume Ono's Lady and Oldman Manga Ends in August

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Series launched in October 2015

The August issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine revealed on Friday that Natsume Ono's Lady and Oldman will end in the magazine's September issue on August 19.

The July issue had teased in June that the manga was approaching its climax.

The story takes place in Los Angeles in the 1960s. A pair known as "Lady and Oldman" wander from street to street, sometimes getting caught in cases and sometimes finding solutions.

The series launched in the magazine in October 2015, and Shueisha released the seventh compiled book volume on May 17.

Since she made her debut in 2003 with La Quinta Camera - 5 Banme no Heya, Ono's works have included House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso, Gente - Ristorante no Hitobito, Tesoro, and Not Simple. Viz Media is publishing all of these titles in North America. Yen Press is releasing ACCA 13-Ku Kansatsu-Ka. Kodansha Comics also published Ono's Danza manga in English.

Ristorante Paradiso, House of Five Leaves, and ACCA 13 have all inspired late-night television anime series. Ono's Futagashira inspired a live-action drama in 2015.
