Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War
Adult Swim's Toonami programming block announced on Friday that it is adding the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, the new anime for the Bleach series, and Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, the second season of the anime, on May 17 (effectively, May 18).

The schedule for May 17 is (all times EDT):

1:30 a.m. – One Piece
2:00 a.m. – One Piece
2:30 a.m. – Naruto
3:00 a.m. – Sailor Moon

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime's first cours (quarter of a year) premiered in October 2022, and ended in December 2022 with a one-hour special that combined the anime's 12th and 13th episodes. Viz Media is streaming the anime on Hulu in the U.S. The anime is streaming on Disney+ internationally, and Ani-One Asia is streaming the series in many Asian countries. The anime's second cours premiered in the United States on Hulu, in Latin America on Star+, and in select other countries internationally on Disney+ in July 2023. The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 - The Conflict anime premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on October 5. The anime aired a one-hour final episode special on December 28.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity will be the fourth and final part.

The anime covers the rest of the original manga up through its ending. The Thousand Year Blood War arc is the final arc of the manga, and covers volumes 55-74.

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga
The Blue Exorcist manga inspired a 25-episode television anime series in 2011, and the Blue Exorcist: Kuro Runs Away From Home OAV also premiered in 2011. The Blue Exorcist movie then premiered in Japan in December 2012.

The Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujō Ō-hen) sequel television anime adapted the "Kyoto Impure King Arc" that started in the fifth volume of Kazue Katō's original Blue Exorcist manga. The anime premiered in Japan in January 2017, and Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Daisuki. The anime aired for 12 episodes.

Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga anime premiered in Japan in January 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and also streams an English dub.

The franchise's new anime has two cours (quarter of a year). The first cours titled Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga (Ao no Exorcist: Yuki no Hate-hen) began airing on October 5. Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga, the second cours, premiered on January 4. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs.
