Muse Asia Streams Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA Season 4, Momokuri in India

The Muse Asia YouTube channel began streaming Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki, the fourth original video anime (OVA) season in the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA series, in India on Wednesday. The Muse India YouTube channel began streaming the Momokuri anime on the same day.

The fourth OVA season of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki debuted in 2016 as the first entry in the OVA franchise in 11 years since the last episode of the third OVA season debuted in 2005. The fourth and final episode of the fourth season debuted in September 2017.

The fifth season of the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki original video anime (OVA) series shipped its first episode in February 2020, and its second episode in May 2020. The season had six total home video releases, with the rest releasing in August 2020; November 2020; February 2021; and May 2021.

Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki is the title of the original 1992 OVA series that started a long-running cross-media franchise, with numerous sequels and spinoffs. The original OVA series received the Tenchi Muyo! Omatsuri Zenjitsu no Yoru! (Tenchi Muyo! The Night Before The Carnival), Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-2-Ki (Second Season), and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-3-Ki (Third Season) sequels.

Momokuri originally debuted online, but had a television broadcast beginning in July 2016. The anime's first episode was available for free on December 24, 2015 alongside the first episode of the radio show on the Comico app. The second episode was distributed similarly through the app in January 2016. The show's third episode onward streamed exclusively on the "Momokuri channel" app starting when the app launched in February 2016.

Muse Asia streamed Momokuri in India in December 2023.

The anime is based on Kurose's manga of the same name. The story revolves around Yuki Kurihara, a girl who has finally been granted her wish of dating her crush Shinya Momotsuki (Momo). At first glance, she just looks like a normal but very cute girl. However, she is in fact a maniac over Momo, taking notes of his activities and never missing the chance to see him in a cute moment. Momo, on the other hand, is inexperienced in love, and just wants to make Yuki happy.

Yoshimasa Hiraike (Amagami SS, Kaleido Star: New Wings, AKB0048) directed and headed series composition for the anime at animation studio Satelight (Macross Frontier, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan) with producer Fumio Kaneko (AKB0048, Log Horizon) also on the project. Miwa Ōshima (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, GJ-bu) designed the characters and served as chief animation director. TO-MAS SOUNDSIGHT FLUORESCENT FOREST — the musical unit that includes Masumi Itou, Mito, and Yohei Matsui — composed the music for the series. Lantis produced the music.
