Animate Opens Hong Kong Store in December

Animate announced on October 16 that it will open a new directly-owned Animate store in Hong Kong's "T.O.P this is our place" mall in December later this year. The store will include Animate's collaboration cafe brand Gratte, which will serve collaboration drinks.

Animate previously had a Hong Kong store that opened in 2014, but closed in 2020.

Animate has opened a number of pop-up stores in locations outside of Japan, as well as four permanent stores in China, three in Taiwan, two in Thailand, one in South Korea, and one in California, USA. A pop-up store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia reopened as a permanent store on October 8.
