Toronto, ON (Feb 20, 2008) The comic book store and Japanese media outlet,
One Million COMIX TORONTO will be hosting four premiere screenings of “Kite: Liberator”, “Full Metal Panic! TSR”, “Tweeny Witches”, and “xxxHOLiC” on March 13th, and one in store signing with anime voice actor Chris Patton on March 14th, 2008 and would like your support in promoting this event.
Info on the event:
The events will be held at the Varsity Cinema, located at 55 Bloor St. W., Toronto. The capacity for this event is 230 seats per screening with a total of 4 screenings. In addition to the screening we have secured anime voice actor Christopher Patton who will be doing a signing and Q & A. at One Million COMIX, located at 531 Yonge St., Toronto
Info on Kite: Liberator:
“Kite: Liberator” is a the sequel to the 1998 controversial Japanese anime OVA Kite written and directed by Yasuomi Umetsu. The film continues the story of Sawa, a child assasin gone rogue.
Info on Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid:
“Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid” is the second sequel to the anime TV series Full Metal Panic! This series takes place three months after the events occurred in the Tuatha de Danaan at the end of the Full Metal Panic! Series.
Info on Tweeny Witches:
Tweeny Witches is about a girl named Alice, who finds herself transported into another world, ruled by a mysterious elite of witches - and these witches don't seem to be in it for the fun. They're hard at work capturing sprites, the native magical beings of the world, and forcing them into slavery. Once Alice realizes that her new surroundings aren't just a dream, she sets out to change things.

Kimihiro Watanuki is a young boy with a cursed gift. He has the ability to see evil spirits, and somehow they seem attracted to himself. One day he meets a mysterious woman who names herself Yuuko. She claims to have the means to end his torment, but she never works for free, and she wouldn't help him until he works for her enough to pay for her services. Thus he starts to work in her shop and discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.
Info on Chris Patton:
Chris Patton is a voice actor who has worked in the industry for the past nine years, for ADV Films, FUNimation Entertainment, and OkraTron 5000 Studios. Having voiced characters in over 135 Anime/Video Game titles, some of his most notable work has been in voicing characters such as "Sousuke Sagara" in Full Metal Panic!, Fummofu, and Second Raid, "Greed" in Fullmetal Alchemist, "Ikki" in Air Gear, "Sato" in Welcome to the NHK, "Haruka" in Tactics, "Sasame" in Prétear, "Fakir" in Princess Tutu, "Ranmaru" in The Wallflower, and just-recently he has started recording the role of "Yuuichi" in Kanon. After appearing at over 50 conventions and events in the US and UK, this will be Chris' first time in Canada, and he can't wait to meet Canadian fans and experience Toronto for the first time!
One Million Comix will provide advertising and products from the store to use at the screening events, as well as, a location to host the event. Other sponsors such as Paradox Entertainment and FUNimation Entertainment have already come on board and we would like to add organizations such as yours for support on this and future events.
