Japan Expo Announces Dempagumi Inc. as Musical Guest of Honor at Their Santa Clara Event

Santa Clara, CA – June 28th, 2013 – Japan Expo is pleased to announce the girl group Dempagumi.inc. as musical guests of honor for our inaugural Santa Clara event.

Dempagumi.inc. is a six member all-girl group comprised of Mirin Furukawa, Risa Aizawa, Nemu Yumemi, Eimi Naruse, Ayane Fujisaki, and Moga Mogami. They perform at the live bar “Dear Stage” in Akihabara every day, and are deeply into otaku culture. They love video games, anime, comics, cosplay, and fashion.

They have collaborated with creators like Takashi Murakami, Mika Ninagawa and Mikio Sakabe. Their performances at fashion meccas Shibuya Parco and Harajuku LaForet, as well as their appearance at Tokyo Collection, have had the group gaining attention not just amongst geek culture aficionados, but fans of art and fashion as well.

Dempagumi.inc. debuted on the Japanese music scene in November 2011 on a brand new label named “MEME TOKYO” produced by MOFUKU-CHAN with major record company Toys Factory.

Dempagumi.inc. will be performing live showcases at Japan Expo in Santa Clara. They will also be signing autographs during their appearance in California.
