Netmarble Launches The King of Fighters AFK Worldwide On Android And iOS
LOS ANGELES - SEPTEMBER 4, 2025 - Netmarble, a renowned developer and publisher of high-quality games, officially launches THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK on September 4 for Android and iOS devices worldwide. Players who join THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK now will receive up to 3,000 Summoning Tokens and Rubies (x210,000) simply by playing the game. In addition, one of eight popular Legendary-grade fighters will be guaranteed upon the player's first summon.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is based on SNK's “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” IP. The game features iconic fighters from “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” series reimagined in pixel art graphics that gamers are familiar with from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 on NEOGEO POCKET COLOR, allowing players to build their own team of favorite Fighters and enjoy dynamic combats. The excitement intensifies with 5v5 team battles, and players can strategically create their decks by combining up to 15 different Fighters and formations.
At launch, players of THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK can collect and train 114 fighters, including 36 Legendary fighters, as well as various Pets. The game features up to 12,600 stages, 10 different types of dungeons offering growth materials and in-game currency, 10 unique growth systems, and a range of competitive content for players to enjoy. The content will continue to expand further with the game's live service.
Netmarble has rolled out a variety of in-game events offering generous rewards to celebrate the launch of THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, including:
*Server Launch Celebration 7-Day Check-In: Grants valuable rewards, including Ruby. Players will receive a Legendary Fighter Summon Ticket on the 7th day of checking in.
*Kyo Kusanagi Pick-Up Event: Players will have a higher chance to obtain Kyo Kusanagi in his KOF '99 style.
In addition, players will have an increased chance to summon fighters with [Fury] Synergy until September 17 via the Pick-Up Summon event. Additional launch celebrations will be running that offer various opportunities to acquire pets and supporters.
