Los Angeles, CA (September 25, 2025) – Manga has long been the gateway to anime, and Crunchyroll is now launching a new service to serve the legions of fans who live and breathe their love of manga.
Crunchyroll announced today that its new premium add-on, Crunchyroll Manga, will launch on October 09, 2025, across iOS and Android in the U.S. and Canada, with web to follow on October 15, 2025.
At launch, the ad-free experience will feature hundreds of titles from leading publishers, including AlphaPolis, COMPASS, Square Enix, Viz Media, and Yen Press, with additional partners like Shueisha, J-Novel Club, ThirdlineNEXT, highstone and more to follow in the future. Combining some of the biggest titles from across publishers will make manga even more accessible than ever before, all in one place.
With some of the hottest manga series available – even some titles never published digitally before – readers can dive deep into the endless world of manga with series as One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, My Dress-Up Darling, The Summer Hikaru Died, Lycoris Recoil, Delicious in Dungeon, Sasaki and Miyano, Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, Maiden of the Dragon: Falling for the Demon's Lies and many more, spanning multiple genres.
Powered by Link-U Group, one of the leading digital manga service developers from Japan, Crunchyroll Manga will be available as a separate app from the flagship Crunchyroll streaming service, which is home to the largest dedicated library of Japanese animated series and movies.
“Anime and manga have always been two sides of the same coin, and Crunchyroll is uniquely positioned to bring them together for fans everywhere,” said Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer at Crunchyroll. “With this launch, we're not just creating another reading app, we're expanding the ultimate anime lifestyle experience, uniting stories on the screen with those on the page.”
Crunchyroll Manga will also take center stage this October at New York Comic Con, where the Crunchyroll booth (#1643) will feature hands-on demos and panels inviting fans to flip through select titles and explore the stories behind their favorite anime, bringing the new app to life on the show floor.
Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan subscribers ($15.99/month) can enjoy Crunchyroll Manga at no extra cost, along with anime streaming on up to six devices at a time, offline viewing and reading, Crunchyroll Game Vault, 15% off select products, subscriber-only offers, early access to sales, free shipping, and more.
Crunchyroll Manga will be available in all tiers, so fans can dive into manga their way as an add-on to their existing Crunchyroll membership.
