Well, I have seen the previous seasons so I may as well watch the fifth one I suppose, it has become comfort food.

It was to be expected for S5, i guess the game will be another turn based battles gacha, it would be nice if it turn into real time rpg. I am still waiting for the LN-based game that will entertain me as much as Hollow Realization did.

I have yet to watch the finale, but I assume either the fabulously mythical phoenix has yet to make an appearance or it was shown at the very last moment for all of 2-3 seconds. What a letdown for those of us waiting for another big battle.
I’ll still watch season 5 since I’ve watched the other four. But jeezy louisey does this show need a shot in the arm to get moving. |

This show feels like it's getting additional seasons because so many people are hate watching it.

The show constantly does incredibly well on streaming services and popularity rankings. The only people hate-watching it are probably the ANN reviewers and other people who can monetize the negativity otherwise it'd be a waste of time for them. |

Well, no sooner did I grouse about SH-S4 in the "Worst" thread wondering what the prospects of an S5 were and here is the answer. Why~~~. I guess I'll watch like others have said because it will arrive whether I care or not...

I already retired from this series after S3 so I'm not part of the hate-watching crew. Judging from the promotional poster, it seems like they're finally ready to introduce this phoenix enemy which was first mentioned back in S2. That's kinda insane it took this long.

I know people often say things like this when popular anime they don't like get more seasons instead of their own personal favorites but this seems like a particularly random example to cite. Never say never I suppose as Haruhi has some successful crowdfunding campaigns for the production of some music videos. Although the fact they had to crowdfund that seems to suggest KyoAni doesn't have the most confidence in the series. I'm glad to see Shield Hero continue, though. It's popularity is well deserved and appeared enduring despite the hate it gets from certain sections of western anime fandom |

Honestly ANN should just stop reviewing this show period.
They had a negative impression of it since day 1 and it is clear as day that they are mostly biased. this s4 reviewer did not even legit review it it felt more like a whiney child throwing a tantrum every time they had to watch an episode. So if u can't at least remain somewhat impartial just stop. |

I don't particularly like this show except the first season but since I've watched all 4 seasons, I might as well watch the 5th when it comes out.
