-Bamco: Man, it really does seem like Tekken 8 broke something at the company. We'll see how this goes
-Wolverine: Looks neat, but it's also weird how they're doing this whole "the X-Men don't exist as a team!" Which...why does Wolvie have the costume then? Looks fun at least.
-Tokon: Still not the most nonsensical team up in comic books
-Rayman: Man, that art style looks like sauteed butt cheeks. And of course Ubisoft is doing the "well, we might do another one if this sells well." Get outta here, especially when you guys can't even print a proper PS5 disc.
-GoW: This is certainly looking to be a lot wackier. I expect Helios to show up and go "Did you husband ever tell you how he ripped him my head and used it as a flashlight?"
Also, Switch 2 is now a year old so time for me to...play the Switch version of Suikoden

Because Wolverine in the comics already had his yellow costume before he officially joined the X-Men. You also of course can’t give a character with an established costume new duds without hurting some feelings.

It’s essentially the original game’s art in 3D.
| Quote: | | That they'd be demanding a new Destiny so soon after the announcement of Destiny 2's shutdown also feels a bit unrealistic of an expectation, especially with Bungie putting their weight behind the aforementioned Marathon. |
Well that and the fact that Bungie’s been going through some “lean” times and apparently are set to go through more. On top of the fact that recent reports have established that Sony hasn’t not come close to making back what they spent on the company when they bought it.

Well some of us someone on Kotaku apparently felt that none of the violence in the shown in the trailer was earned.

If you’ve never read the comics and only go by the cartoons or movies. Norman has been established to be enough of a threat that the Avengers had to stop him on at least one occasion. As for Carnage every team needs an oddball/self serving wildcard even when said team already has Green Goblin and Doctor Doom.
| Quote: | | Onimusha, its final PS2 entry, Dawn of Dreams, is joining the PS+ catalogue. I'm a bit worried; it wasn't very well-received back in its time, but I have to wonder if time has made people softer on it. |
Nah still don’t like it Soki and his supporting cast was fine, gameplay is typical Onimusha, music was decent everything else was meh.
Tack on “the hero dies” and “unresolved romantic tension” being at play and it’s even worse.

Of the games shown at State of Play, Stuntman: Holltywood is the one I think I have the greatest chance of actually playing sooner or later (especially since it's coming to PC, the chances that I get a PS5 any time in the near future are nil) however I am hoping that we get a wide variety of missions for each car and it's not just one two-minute segment for each of the Universal franchises that they licensed for this game.
I did notice a few cosmetic changes to the Miami Vice Ferrari Testarossa, most notably the lack of side strakes, quite likely due to lack of Ferrari licensing although the car model still looks pretty close to a Testarossa (close enough for Ferrari to sue if it isn't licensed?).
I'm surprised I didn't see The A-Team van since that's also a Universal property although they may still be saving some of the licensed property announcements for later.

I just got back from the hospital and am way too exhausted to do much of anything, but I am very excited to dive into that Onimusha demo. Just from the trailers, it looks like pretty much everything I'd want to see in a new Onimusha game.
Biggest news was definitely the Ace Combat 8 release date, though. I was really worried it'd wind up getting delayed again. But I suppose it's probably already been delayed several times, just without us being informed, given how long it's been since AC7. I can only assume development took so long because they were wanting to basically make two games at once, with Ace Combat Online (kinda-sorta like the VR game included with AC7, which ate up a lot of resources). Can't say I'm super enthusiastic about the live-service nonsense on that end (though at at least it appears to be cosmetics and early-unlocks only, at this point) but I'd definitely appreciate a couple of good co-op game-modes.
One of the things I've always wanted to see in an Ace Combat game is just, like, a co-op horde mode, where you team up with some other players to fight endless waves of enemies across a huge battlefield. Like that Roca Roja mission in AC7, only new enemies keep spawning in waves to reinforce the enemy positions.

I like Gitaroo Man, but wow, is it difficult.
I've played the PSP and PS2 versions, and the PS2 looks better but the controls are less forgiving, making the PSP version more playable.

How could you not include a pic of Jack Quaid in the mocap suit as the gelatinous cube? Shoddy journalism, I tell ya!
