Wow, I think we went a bit off-topic. I have to apologize for starting part of this whole mess in the first place. I'm sorry if I was bit mean, but I think something needs to be done. Actually, I can think of five.... The Vision of Escaflowne Maze The Megaburst Space Kannazuki No Miko Full Metal Panic Sailor Victory (all the mains are female actually) While the mecha is not always the focus in these shows, they are vital parts to the stories. |

1. Gunbuster and Diebuster 2. Fight! Iczer-1 and Iczer-3 3. Dangaioh 4. Patlabor 5. Rinne no Lagrange 6. Hoshi no Koe 7. Magic Knight Rayearth 8. Soukou no Strain 9. Dangaizer 3 In the same vein but probably aren't true mecha would be stuff like Stellvia, Bubblegum Crisis, Simoun, Burn Up! And then there's just a ton of mecha with shared male and female protagonists. |

The worst anime I've watched for me is Sword Art Online, and you'd think I'd love it because I love anime and videogames, but the characters, I found most of them to be really annoying, especially Gary Stu Kirito, but what made me quit was when the incest overtones started happening, I just said nope to that show completely.
The only thing I like about it is the first opening, "Crossing Field". |

Escaflowne for the win. The film wasn't really that great though. Have not seen the others mentioned. I can't believe I missed a discussion on mecha.

I would also include cross ange(Although the comedy manga spin-off was better.. somehow). Now that I think about, it also technically counts as a harem. |

Speaking of Garzy's Wing I somehow keep getting copies of this awful movie! I think I have given away like 3 copies of it yet somehow I have still have own 3 copies of this damn thing.
One of the most nonsensical gems I have had the pleasure of seeing was the classic CPM title Judge. The art is pretty awful and the animation for it's time was goodish but very dated. The plot is confusing and makes no sense, it's convoluted as all hell and does not even follow it's own rules it creates. It's a court room drama about vampires in the business world among the living and the corruption they bring. And by court room drama I mean they have really awkward bloody fights among people spewing things about the judicial system. It's a 50 minutes OVA of just pure awful.

The only bad anime I had the misfortune to have seen unwittingly in the past was MD Geist, Violence Jack, and an ackward one called Strange Dawn. Of recent time and though it was of great interest to me because of its inception by Hatsune Miku, I thought Black Rock Shooter was a rather large plate of dog's dinner too.
