Considering Gantz's material, wouldn't it seem more like NC-17 be more appropriate?

Kadmos: They'd have to do it R, just to make it profitable at all.

How explicit were the Japanese live action films? That can probably give a good indication of how Del Toro's would hypothetically come out. Also nice Kon shout out.

kevin: I hear the violence was in the hard PG-13 range, which is probably the only way it could make money in Japan.

And I been pestering GDT to mention Kon somewhere major for the last year, now. [He was glad to do it, but hope I didn't come off overbearing. He's got a public e-mail he lets fans use to contact him, but he rarely responds back.] I found out he was a fan when I was at the Memento anniversary Q+A he and Nolan hosted. [And no, Nolan claims he hadn't seen Paprika.] I was hoping GDT could contribute to Tropic of the Sea, but I was too late to reach him before it hit the printers. But I let him know about the other upcoming U.S. releases of Kon manga, and he should be able to fit those into his schedule.

So he wants to make a Gantz film? That would be a interesting project.
