Never even heard of this guy and I still feel bad for him.
Hasn't been a good year for Digimon fans, hasn't it? |

made an account just to post about this, i can't believe this has happened, this is the worse thing to happen to the japanese anime industry in a long time, i hope his family is okay....
erm, i don't want to be rude, but i don't think you should put down the english version's theme song since the composer of the english theme song died recently as well... again, i'm not trying to be rude, but let's support our favorite anime series regardless of what language or music it has in it especially in sad times like this. |

Agreed. I love Wada Kouji and Paul Gordon's Digimon songs. I got twice the songs for Digimon because of it. Let us show some respect for both artists who recently passed away this year. |

This really breaks my heart. Like many others I was introduced to his music very early on and was astounded by the beauty of his vocals and Japanese music as a genre. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P. Wada Kouji 和田光司
This song will always be my favorite. Thanks for the memories. さよなら ありがとう This is the last song of ButterFly before he past. The song hasn't gone through any fixes of his voice. (純唱) You can hear how he runs out of breath, but continues to sing will all his might. http://www.bilibili.com/video/av4307480/index_5.html 無限大な夢のあとの 何もない世の中じゃ |

Oh, my, I am shocked. Not only he was just 42, and even younger than me!
And two years ago, the Spanish dub director died, too... sh*t My condolences to his family and friends and thanks for everything, Wada-san. |

What the ever loving hell is going on?! Why is Digimon losing people this year on it's anniversary?! This is really beyond sad! Seriously!
RIP Kouji Wada - And thank you so very much for giving us all a great childhood theme song! Now to go listen to Butterfly and bawl my eyes out! |

Thank you Koji Wada for the wonderful memories for Digimon! Such a shock and saddening thing to hear that you have departed us soon. Immediately after I read this article I went onto Youtube looking for your songs. My condolences to your family. Like Bowie, you were an artist to the end, thank you so much.

English version now available (I'm not sure if one would call it a translation as Mishio Suzuki is fluent in both Japanese and English): http://the-japan-news.com/news/article/0002957919 |
