Just wanted to say, finally, a Cardcaptor Sakura DVD review without any cheap attacks against the TV dub. I don't care much for Cardcaptors myself, but I recognize that it's for 5 year olds and not anime purists and, since we have the subtitled DVDs, I just choose to ignore the TV dub altogether.
I'd have to say, though, that I'd give it a higher rating for animation were I writing the review; compared to other magical girl TV shows, the art is more detailed and the animation is (relatively) fluid. But that's my sole disagreement with the review. |
