Is Adam Warren up to having his version of DP getting animated though?

I'm 99% sure at this point he's entirely focused on Empowered, since it's his first completely original property.

Yeah, Adam Warren is full bore on Empowered. Such a thug'a'licious comic.

I would love it too, if Adam Warren's Dirty Pair was to get animated by Japan, but really don't see it happening, since Adam Warren is a westerner, and it is a American version of a Japanese property. Only hope for it, is if it was released in Japan, which I don't think ever happened.

May be some day, Japan will revisit the property.

The show's art style always looked a bit like Ranma's to me. I think they might've shared a character designer or something.

Their relationship isn't like Ranma and Akane though. It's not even Lina and Naga (Slayers). Kei and Yuri get along quite well, but are opposites (Kei being the tough, butchy one, Yuri being more sweet and feminine).

I would LOVE a new Dirty Pair anime. It's way overdue. We haven't had anything since Flash (which was almost 20 years ago). You can't think of 80s anime without thinking of Dirty Pair. It's time to introduce it for a new generation.

My only issue with this set is the box art. I was lucky enough to be able to get the original sets when they 1st released a few years ago.

and unfortunately they dont include the adv releases which means its another sub only release. sure the adv dub version wasnt sub par level , but it was a solid dub nevertheless.

ADV never released the series just the OVAs and movie. I was talking about the 1st print that Rightstuf released.

I know that. i watched the OVAs when it showed on Showtime Beyond. What i meant was that it was ashame that they never did do a dub version for the TV series when they still have the license for the original dirty pair and dirty pair flash ( which in my opinion is the better of the two series )

jr: Can't afford a dub, and even if they could, it'd be a pain to find the old voice actors.

Yeah but not the original.

Given the numerous imitators of the premise (Kiddy Grade and Panty and Stocking being the most notable) I won't hold my breath for a remake.

The original never made it here through a UK distributor, just Flash.

IIRC, Flash was always dubbed since it was released on VHS.

Plus aren't the original M&Es for the TV series lost or is it just with the OVA episodes which caused ADV to produce their own?
