Oh, nice news. Interesting people are stepping up.
Look up George A. Romero´s discarded script for the first film. It was basically RE 1. To live in the time line that got good RE films. Maybe this time.

To each their own. I'm pretty sure that the Resident Evil films are the only non-anime Blurays I own (I normally don't care about video quality for live action stuff).

Oh, so the "finale" wasn't the finale after all--Yeah, remember when that happened with the original Friday the 13th movies?
(And remember, folks: When you see James Wan hired as director...)

I knew Sony wasn't ready to lose of one of their "genre-symbol" tentpoles quite yet without a fight.
Note that it's now the "franchise", as everything else is when Sony gets desperate.

They were pretty quick in bringing this up. Yeah hopefully they get it right this time. And with less cheesy and poorly written storylines. And don't kill off key characters so quickly.
