Episode 12 (finale)

I am going to be honest that some parts could be fun, mostly when it was degenerate in a way of letting people enjoy what they want when it doesn't affect other people. But also less fun when it was the sort of thing that would affect other people, like anything sexual assault related. I could enjoy an entire arc around sexual deviance, but it just crossed the line a few times that made it less fun, let alone I would describe a sense of shame that also made it difficult to really enjoy it.

Without really much more to say other than maybe giving specific examples of trashy stuff, I will give a rating of Decent (6/10), with the added mention of some guilty pleasure elements.

I'm rating this Not Really Good. The other part of that rating is, But Not a Total Waste Either. I guess that nicely sums up my feelings. Don't get me wrong, I should have stuck to my original decision to drop it, but every here and there I must have found something that kept me going until the end. A real wasted opportunity. The premise could have been a springboard for a great satire on both religion and non-belief, but of course it wasn't interested in doing anything like that. It seems the show was most interested in being a dopey sex "comedy" so I'm not sure why a premise about a world without religion was needed for that. Oh well, for the millionth time in my anime watching career, I have sworn to be less tolerant of shows that aren't doing it for me and so far in this new season I seem to be sticking to that. We'll see.

I agree that it never went beyond okay. I did like some parts of it, like the ruthless mc and how unpredictable the anime can sometimes be. The premise of a godless world getting a god and several factions of religion being built up could have been interesting. What we ended up with was a lot of degeneracy and dumb jokes. It also does not help that a lot of the characters are pretty vile, Roy in particular needs to get the Theon threatment. In the end it has some fun moments, but there are many other anime out there that are a more fulfilling time.
