posted on by Joanna Cayanan
Overlap's Comic Gardo website launched Kumiko Suekane's new manga titled Maō to Hajimeru RPG (Starting an RPG with the Demon King) on Saturday.

The manga is set in a time when human disappearances have caused a stir in society, and it is believed that those who have disappeared have been reincarnated into another world. When high school student Yoshimichi Itoi's childhood friend Yūma Amamiya suddenly disappeared, their classmate Otogi tells him that she also wants to go to the other world. Otogi asks Yoshimichi to come with her on top of a building and she pushes him off. Yoshimichi suddenly disappears midair, and wakes up and finds himself in an unknown world.
Suekane launched RWBY: Ice Queendom The Comic, the manga adaptation of the RWBY: Ice Queendom (RWBY: Hyōsetsu Teikoku) anime, in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in June 2022. The manga ended in 2023. Kadokawa published the manga's third and final compiled book volume in December 2023.
Many of Suekane's earlier manga titles have been published in English. Viz Media published Afterschool Charisma, Dark Horse Comics published the two-volume Blood+ Adagio, ADV Manga published the Once Upon a Glashma manga's one volume, and Seven Seas Entertainment published Suekane's 2016 Versailles of the Dead manga.
