Yoshio Sawai's Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo manga will get a new stage play in Tokyo from June 12-21. Shō Katō (Ouran High School Host Club stage play) will star as the titular character.

Keita Kawajiri will write the script and direct.
The series received a stage play adaptation titled Chō Hajike Stage☆Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Super Hajike Stage☆Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo) in October 2024.
The franchise's X (formerly Twitter) account first announced the stage play adaptation as an April Fools' Day joke in April 2024, before later announcing that the stage play adaptation was happening for real.
Discotek released the anime as a standard-definition Blu-ray Disc set that includes all 76 episodes both in English and in Japanese with subtitles in January 2020. The company describes the anime:
In a world where hair is freedom, only one man is brave enough to defend the follicles of the innocent from the militant Hair Hunt troops of the Maruhage Empire: BOBOBO-BO BO-BOBO! A master of the Fist of the Nose Hair, Bo-Bobo and his gleaming golden afro team up with a girl named Beauty to defeat the evil Empire and its leader, Baldy Bald the 4th. The duo's hair-raising adventures will weave them across the globe as they meet a hilarious and buzz-arre cast of new friends and brush off an even weirder list of foes. This comical adventure is surely a cut above the rest that will leave you dye-ing with laughter!
Toei Animation's English YouTube channel began streaming the anime on June 28.
Sawai launched the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2001. The manga ended in its 21st volume in 2006. Viz Media published selected stories from the manga in North America.
