NEWS: The Testament of Sister New Devil Gets New 60-Minute OVA

With so many LN based anime getting new seasons, I hope this OVA is the prelude to a new season on the near future.

Well it has more of a plot than Prison School and its at least more entertaining to watch. Then again I'm already weird for watching it being that I'm a girl. >_>

Have you ever watched the anime? Inside the genre of ecchi LN based anime Testament is one of the best. I even like Testament more than DxD (and i like DxD allot).

Basara is a better MC than Issei.
At least Basara is stronger since the beginning and don't spend all the time crying as how weak he is. Im really sick of Issei crying all the time. DxD would be better if Vali was the MC.
And Basara really do live as a real harem king. Issei spend all time wanting to be a harem king and don't farther than kissing the girls now and then and touching breasts.

And DxD story is having too much Shonen and too much tokusatsu troupes.
DxD is more for older teens and Testament is more for young adults.

I like DxD for the comedy and Testament for the story.

BTW, some hentai have better story lines than many shonen manga out there.

People like you who don't know the difference between hentai (pornography) and a ecchi or seinen series with more mature content are really annoying in this community, Testament doesn't even have sex scenes until this point of the show and a show having sex doesn't even mean it's hentai/pornography since doesn't have explicit sex, and to finish, you will be really hard to find any actual hentai with the story and characters of a ecchi series like Testament, so educate yourself before throwing ignorant comments.

1) Basara has a harem with no logical reason behind it. Is there a point for them all to be under a succubus curse? No. Mio was the only one that needed to be under it because it was all they had at the time.

Yeah, while simultaneously being completely nonchalant and uncaring about it all. That's so [expletive] tropey it makes me want to gag.

2) Basara is the most [expletive] bland OP character I've ever seen in my life, well barring Touya from Smartphone, but that's besides the point. He has no motivation in life, and Mio/Maria treat him like absolute shit. The guy still wants to protect them with his life, and that becomes his reason for living. Can you say, lazy writing? At least Issei is established as a pervert who wants these things, ergo IT MAKES SENSE. Let's also not forget that Basara's part of the hero clan, people sworn to kill demons. Why all of the sudden is he not like that? Aren't they taught to know that demons are seductive? Can you say, contradictory writing?

3) The biggest WTF offender is how Basara and Mio treat each other. They both call each other siblings, even though they aren't related and are clearly in love with each other. That is [expletive] weird dude. It takes incest to a whole new level. They're not blood related, but it looks like they want to be.

4) Did this show even have villains? I can't remember them.

I'm not saying that DxD is good in terms of narrative quality, but their main characters are written far differently. Issei wins. Your tastes don't matter. I agree that Issei is a massive bitch, one that should just make a move already, but my opinion doesn't matter either. Narrative quality matters. What makes sense matters. You can't use the "within this genre, this is better" argument. Harems in general have garbage writing.

Couldn't disagree more. Testament is written so damn lazily that I have trouble distinguishing it from real hentai.

Also the sexual scenes in Testament are literally borderline hentai. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. The only thing missing is penetration.
