That's funny that this will be the first time they've actually filmed a live-action adaption in the actual Shinjuku.

If Netflix is going to make a movie is it possible for them to upload the original series to it service in order to familiarize viewers with the series? I know City Hunter is popular in many countries like Italy and France, but, for example, in Latin America we only got the Jackie Chan movie. City Hunter is one of the few major Shonen Jump anime that was never dubbed into Neutral Spanish, we got things like Cat's Eye, Hell Teacher Nube and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! but not City Hunter

Oh YES! Man, I didn't see this news until AFTER we concluded our podcast for tonight.

I need to rewatch the Jackie Chan movie and the Korean drama(and watch the Nicky Larson movie from France) before I see this, just for the reminder that nothing beats the original. Ooh, at least, this is me HOPING this will be good.

Hope they get Ryo character right, since it's netflix and all. Would be suck if they changes his personality to fit with the "modern" viewers

There's also a live-action adaptation of Angel Heart that's still streaming on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll has it all for free. All the seasons, specials, and animated films.
