Madoka Magica's Madoka, Mami, Sayaka

In the above image, unidentified cosplayers in Taiwan portray the characters of Mami (left), Madoka (center), and Sayaka (right) from the magical girl series Puella Magi Madoka Magica. In this series from the anime studio Shaft and director Akiyuki Shinbo, the girls have formed contracts with Kyubey, a mysterious creature who grants each girl the power to transform into a magical girl called a "Puella Magi." In exchange for these powers, the girls must fight witches. (Pictured at right but not cosplayed is Akemi, another Puella Magi.)
